Momentum Skate Park

The skate park was a community effort. Upton County prepared the site. MEDC, City of McCamey, AEP, Z designs, and other volunteers helped with the community built project. The project was funded by MEDC and the City of McCamey.

The second phase of the project will include adding more obstacles and is set to begin sometime in 2010.  The Momentum Skate Park effort is just one example of how the MEDC continues to work to improve the quality of life in McCamey and promote good-clean fun for the youth of our town.

The property where the skate park was built was donated by Marsha Wolfe and family.

Badger Express II

Jones Gun Shop

MEDC helped Elmer Jones relocate Jones Gun Shop to their new location on 303 third street.

Customer testimonials
Shortly after I arrived in McCamey, I decided to open a pizza restaurant. I leased a small building and purchased equipment. Money was a little tight after this purchase. I approaced the McCamey EDC with my problem and they were very helpful with a small grant that helped me get the doors to Crazy John Pizza open.

After about 19 months, I needed to expand, and with the help of the local bank and the McCamey EDC, I purchased a larger building, which I will open around July 31st of 2009. The EDC in McCamey is very eager to help anyone relocate to McCamey, and if you decide to visit, please come and join us at Crazy Johns Pizza for a Great Experience.
