To promote economic development and business diversification in McCamey by using the following objectives; creating new jobs, realizing a net gain in property taxes collected, collecting additional sales tax, making improvements that result in McCamey being a more attractive place for living, visiting and investing.

MEDC serves business in McCamey by providing FREE referrals and counseling services and also by:

  • Helping beautify the community through McCamey Operation Pride (MOP) projects.

  • Serving as a gateway between programs such as UPB Small Business Development Corp.

  • Hosting educational classes for small business owners. (SBDC)

  • Linking entrepreneurs to State info, resources and programs available for small businesses.

What We've Achieved

  • We have helped to build 21 businesses in our community.

  • MEDC has provided revolving loans to qualifying construction companies to attract builders to the area. MEDC has build 5 homes in McCamey.

  • MEDC has build an outdoor community event center for our residents to enjoy for any community events.
